Water Pumps

Whether you have a preformed or a liner pond, a pond pump is a paramount component of any water feature.

Submersible pond pumps can be placed directly in the pond and require relatively little installation. They are free of distracting noise, and for smaller ponds, can easily be utilized to drain your pond (if you hook up a hose to the output flow). These pumps are often used inside pond skimmer boxes where they are out of sight. In this application they generally feed a waterfall type filter as it flows back to the pond providing aeration and water circulation.

Submersible Pond Pumps are sized by gallons per hour (GPH) output . Read the flow chart for each pump to see performance at various head pressures.

Flow rates range from 1900 GPH to as high as 18,000GPH. Generally, the ideal pump will circulate the total volume of a fish pond at least once per hour. For example, if you pond is 2000 gallons, you would want to go with at least a 2000 GPH pump.

The "Versiflow" Pump is unique in that it is horizontal low profile. It can used in fountains or skimmer boxes. The Vertical style "Geyser-Flow" Pump is great for all kinds of applications in skimmer boxes or just drop in the bottom of the pond or fountain to feed waterfalls or decorative features. The "Geyser Hi Flow" is great for waterfalls and can pump up to 18,000 gph !!

Be sure to check the cord length when choosing a submersible pond pump to ensure that it will reach your electric outlet with a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI). Our pumps come with 19 ft cords.

The submersible pump may be pulled from the water occasionally to clean its pre-filter or screen.

The unobtrusiveness of submersible pond pumps allows them to be used in pond designs that incorporate more natural settings, as you do not have to hide or camouflage the pump. Submersible pond pumps also run quietly and will not disturb any outdoor activities.
